Announcement

On March 18, 2015, a Senate hearing was held on SB355. This bill is sponsored by Sen. Dan Brown of Rolla and it is the Senate version of our hazardous duty pay bill.

The bill was well received by the committee and drew lots of questions from committee members. This is usually a good sign of interest. Hopefully this bill will be passed out of the committee soon and can move forward.

Please take the time to contact your Senator and ask for their support.

Thank you,

Gary Gross, MOCOA Director

Announcement

HB 159 is a bill designed to break the bargaining units in Missouri. This bill would make it virtually impossible for a bargaining unit to operate in this state. This would leave all employees at the mercy of their employers and their supervisors and without any representation.

Please take the time to contact your legislators and let them know that state employees deserve representation. Ask them to vote NO on this legislation.

Update

HB 238, our Hazardous Duty Pay Bill, was voted out of Committee this morning with a vote of 11-0. Hopefully we can keep this bill moving through the process.

If you haven’t called your representative for their support, please do so.
